“You Are” Affirmation Poem

I wrote this affirmation poem with a very specific intention: to remind the reader of who they are–who you are. I’m not talking about who others think you are, or who society says you are, or even who you might think you are if you’re unaware of your natural divinity. This poem is to affirm who you are at your core; what your natural state of Being is. This is who we all are once we strip away thoughts, feelings, expectations, societal norms, cultural norms, conditioned beliefs, etc. This is who you are.

You Are

You are loved…not only that, but you are love.
And the low vibrations you can rise above.
And if you ever wonder what you’re made of,
I can assure you that you are made of love
because you are love.

And you were created with stardust,
because you are a magical and spiritual being in spite of
the darkness we all feel inside us.
But the darkness isn’t enough to hide us,
you see the darkness is what binds us.
Until our light it comes and finds us,
and that light it does remind us
that we are light.

And one day you’ll realize,
the light never came from outside
because you are light.
It came from within and shines so bright,
because you are and have always been a light.
Even when it’s out of sight,
your spirit knows to put up a fight
to remind you that this is who you are.

You are peace and you are divine,
you are chosen and you are aligned.
You are wise and ahead of your time,
you are vibrant and full of life.
You are energy and you are healing,
you are so much more than your feelings.
You are guided in all that you do,
you are confident and abundant too.
You are safe and protected,
powerful and magnetic,
enlightened and ascending,
a miracle and a blessing.

You are connected to everyone,
we are together.
And your soul, it will live on forever.
